Ongoing Lecture Performance

During a two-month residency I wondered where we can find formal or material zones of encounter between animals and people. With the method of „speculative fabulation“ I invented a historical story, which drifts between science and fiction. Through its processual character, the performance raises open questions, which are not answered by itself. My research and so the content of the lecture performance is ongoing.

The parallel events and inflationary use of different media allows for little focus of attention. There are missing pieces in the story, certain drawings and words that emerge remain unreadable. I used my voice,a microphone, a presentation of images through a projector and drawings that are created live. After detailed scientific and fictional accounts, I take a fictional ritual from history and transfer it into a scientific framework, so I include it in my Lecture Performance as a performative element and burn horn dust with some hair samples from the audience.

Am I engaging in politically incorrect historical revisionism, or can the planting of a fictional history not also create a progressive future?
Isn’t the history of mankind anyway only a collection of archaeological speculations of powerful white men? Is it actually sustainable love or sustainable slavery to turn a wolf into a dog?
